French women know how to stay slim, lose weight, fat loss and weight loss is not part of their vocabulary; they have just stayed with their lifestyle that's been working for centuries, and of course, common sense.

What would a French diet be without cheese? Yes, you can eat real cheese. But you can't eat processed cheese and be within the boundaries of a French diet. The French would call you names and make disparaging remarks about you if you were eating processed cheese. Eating a small portion of real cheese actually helps you feel full so you don't crave snacking later.

Red wine has also always been part of French tradition, and it's healthy for you because it's full of antioxidants and fights free radicals in your body. Once again, a small portion, 1 to 2 glasses a day, not a bottle.

French women like big portions of unprocessed, fresh fruit and vegetables and it shows, because they are naturally nutritious and low in calories.

Most US citizens eat much larger portions than French women do as French women only eat a fraction of the normal intake. This is confirmed by the huge portions that are served at restaurants, so it's just natural that US citizens are in the habit of consuming more food.

French women do not watch TV when eating, they eat slowly and savor the food, instead of gulping down, and can you remember when last you savored a meal?

Drinking water keeps your metabolic rate high which is great for burning calories, French women have learned this.

French women forgive themselves more easliy should they eat too much at a meal. There will be times that you just don't want to count calories, but the secret is to eat less at the next meal you eat, copying they will help us with our weight and fat loss efforts.
